Leave the Square car park in Ballyclare at 6:30pm and from there drive to Robin Young’s car park in the hills just above Cairncastle. Starting to walk at approximately 7:15 pm. The route heads south, following the Ulster Way markers, to the top of the hill and then follows the escarpment with excellent views across to Scotland and across Ballygalley bay. The area directly below the escarpment is usually covered in bluebells in May.
