Christmas Tree Lighting

The lights on the Christmas tree at the front of the Parish Hall will be switched on this evening by local councillor, Vera McWilliam. Santa Claus will be making an appearance to say hello to all the boys and girls. All welcome to enjoy some festive cheer.

The results of the Christmas art competition will be announced this evening too. The children of Tildarg Primary School were all invited to take part in this competition and they will have been busy painting and colouring and will be excited to know whose work the judges will decide is the best.

The ladies in the church ladies’ group have been busy over the past few weeks putting together some fantastic Christmas hampers for a fundraising ballot. The money raised will go to a charity chosen by the ladies. Tickets cost £1.00 and are available from Hilary Rea after the church service on Sunday in the Parish Room, after the Masonic Carol service on Tuesday evening and at the lighting of the Christmas tree event on Saturday, 14th December. The draw will be made in the Parish Hall after the lights on the tree have been switched on.
